Barter, not budgets
Venues run creator campaigns and pay in what they already sell. No invoices, no media budget, no agency.
A small venue cannot afford a media budget and does not want one. It can afford a table on a Tuesday. UGC‑Barter is how that becomes a campaign: creators post about the place, and what they earn is the thing the venue already sells.
We are a marketplace and a scoreboard, and deliberately not a payments company. Nothing here moves money — the reward is a meal or a discount, redeemed at the counter by a code.
How it works
-
A venue runs a campaign
A restaurant, bar or shop describes what it wants posted, which of its venues the campaign runs at, and what a creator earns at each tier — a meal, a round, a discount. The rules are fixed once the campaign is live.
-
A creator posts a video
The creator connects the TikTok or Instagram account they post from, picks a campaign running in their city, and submits the link to a video they have already published. We check the video is theirs before it counts.
-
Public metrics unlock tiers
We read the public view, like and comment counts on that video every so often, and check the campaign's rules against it — a hashtag, a minimum length, a posting window. Crossing a threshold unlocks that tier permanently. Numbers falling later never takes a prize back.
-
The prize is redeemed in person
The creator gets a code in the app. Staff at the venue scan it once. That is the whole of the transaction — there is no payment, no invoice and no money moving in either direction.
What we ask the platforms for
A creator connects their TikTok or Instagram account so we can confirm the account posting the video is the account claiming the prize. We ask for the least that answers that question: the account's public identity, and read access to the public statistics of videos the creator submits to a campaign. We never post, never message anyone, and never read a private account or a direct message.
The privacy policy lists every field we store, why it is stored, and how to have it deleted.
